Good morning, and welcome back to 100 Days of Blogging. Today’s question comes to us from the Self-Reflection category and the card asks, “Where are you still carrying old pain? How can you let it go?”
For this, I would have to say that some of it is my theological upbringing. I was raised in the Seventh-Day Adventist church and then the Evangelical church, and honestly at times the theology of those churches can be toxic. They’re two groups that rely on “Us vs. Them” theology a lot in order to get their viewpoints across and gain new converts.
A way I can let go of this would be to replace that theology with one that is more open to people and caring and doesn’t develop an “Us vs. Them” attitude. A theology that cares for everyone and includes everyone is one that is better and a better fit for the Body of Christ.
So there, that’s something I’m carrying and how I could possibly let it go.
