Day 74 of 100 Days of Blogging, If I Could Go Back, What Would I Like to Change About My Education?

Good morning, and welcome back to 100 Days of Blogging. Today’s question comes to us from the Education and Career category and the card asks, “If you could go back, what would you like to change about your education?”

For me, and I’m not afraid to admit this, I would like to go back and change how I did homework and my poor study habits in high school. I don’t know if that would have meant going to a different school, or just buckling down and learning how to actually study for a test and do homework on time, but that would be the biggest help for me to change my education.

The only issue with that though, is that I might not have wound up as a lawyer and instead would have wound up as a civil engineer, like I originally was going to do with my life. It was failing my classes in Community College and getting placed on Double Academic Probation that led me to switching my major and deciding to transfer to William Jessup and eventually going to law school rather than going into civil engineering.

And I’m not sure that I’d be happier as a civil engineer than I would be as a lawyer. I like helping people, and my classmates at law school have been the greatest asset I could have in my journey through life and through law school. I learned a lot from them, at times even more than what I learned from my teachers.

So if I could change anything about my education? It would be that, but I’m not sure I would actually go through with it.
