Day 5 of 100 Days of Blogging, Which Fictional Character Would I Most Like to Meet, and Why?

Hello once again, and welcome back to 100 Days of Blogging, where today’s prompt comes to us from the Random category. If the other prompts in this category are similar to today’s it appears to be a fun category, as today’s card reads “Which character from a book or movie would you most like to meet, and why?”

Now, people that know my might think that the character I would choose would be someone from the Harry Potter series, as that is one of my favorite book series. The reason I don’t immediately jump to one of those characters is because I’ve spent so much time in that world and with those characters, either through reading the books, watching the movies, or reading/participating in discussions about the characters, that I feel that I’ve already really gotten to know them, and that’s why I would want to meet one of these characters, to get to know them a bit better so with someone that I’ve spent a lot of time with, so to speak, I don’t think I’d be able to do that.

Instead, I think I would want to meet with Billy from Erin Morgenstern’s “The Night Circus”. He’s a character that is introduced later in the book than our two main protagonists, but, and spoiler alert for a book that’s been out for almost a decade I believe, he eventually becomes the owner and operator of the titular circus. I’d like to meet him because I’d want to get to know more about the circus and how it operates, as well as what the latest attractions of the circus are.

Additionally, I’d want to meet him at the titular circus, and look at the different exhibitions, acts, and all the different attractions that the circus had. For anyone that hasn’t read the book, the circus in “The Night Circus” actually has magical abilities related to how it was formed and the people that were participating in the circus as performers, and I would love to talk to him and see how that is working, and how they continue to operate the circus throughout the years, I feel that it would be an absolutely fascinating conversation to have and one that I would love to have with him, as well as get to know him better, because in the book itself we only see him as a young boy and I would want to see how he turned out as an adult.

So there we go, the character I would most like to meet is Billy from “The Night Circus” for the reasons stated above.
